This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for BrainSharp 50+, operated by Advanced Learning Academy LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). It supplements Section 3 (Subscription Terms & Billing) of our Terms of Service. Where this policy and the Terms differ, the Terms control.
New accounts begin with a 7-day free trial at full access. No payment method is required to start the trial, and you will not be charged during it. To continue beyond day 7, you must add a payment method through the Account > Manage Billing flow.
If you do not add a payment method by the end of the trial, your subscription automatically cancels and you are not charged. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund in that case. If you have added a payment method, billing begins on day 8.
After the free trial, paid subscriptions are billed to your payment method on file until you cancel, at your chosen plan:
- Monthly plan: $9.99 per month, recurring on the same day each month.
- Annual plan: $99 per year, recurring on the same date each year. The annual plan is billed as a single up-front charge for the year.
Your subscription continues and renews automatically until you cancel. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase, as described in our Terms of Service.
Cancellation is as easy as signing up. You can cancel your subscription in one click at any time from Account > Manage Billing on your Account page. No phone call, no email, and no retention process are required.
If you prefer, you may also cancel by contacting us at team@advancedlearning.academy and we will process the cancellation for you.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access through the period you have already paid for, and you will not be billed again afterward.
No prorated refunds are issued for partial billing periods — for example, the unused days of a month after a mid-month cancellation, or the remaining months of an annual term after a mid-year cancellation — except where a refund is required by applicable law.
How to request a refund: if you believe you are entitled to a refund, or were charged in error, email us at team@advancedlearning.academy with the subject line "Refund Request" and the email address on your account. We will review and respond to refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe, Inc.; the time it takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.
Eligible subscriptions may add a partner or family member for an additional $12.48 per month. The partner add-on is tied to the primary account holder's subscription and is billed alongside it.
You may remove the partner add-on at any time in one click from Account > Manage Billing. Removal takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the same no-prorated-refund rule in Section 4 applies to the partner add-on. Cancelling the primary subscription also ends partner access.
