We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and age when you register for an account.
• Payment Information: Billing details processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. See Section 4 for details on Stripe's role.
• Usage Data: Session activity, game performance, response times, and interaction logs within the Service.
• Brain Region Scores: Your cognitive assessment results across the six brain regions tracked by BrainSharp 50+ (Memory Recall, Processing Speed, Attention & Focus, Reasoning & Logic, Word Retrieval, and Spatial Processing).
• Device & Technical Data: Browser type, IP address, operating system, and referring URLs collected automatically when you use the Service.
• Cookies & Local Storage: Session tokens and preference data stored in your browser. See Section 7 for our Cookie Policy.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Service Delivery: To create and manage your account, process your subscription, and provide access to brain training sessions.
• Progress Tracking: To record, display, and analyze your cognitive performance over time, including your BrainSharp Score, Brain Age estimate, and regional scores.
• Service Improvement: To analyze aggregate usage patterns, identify technical issues, and improve the quality and effectiveness of our training programs.
• Communications: To send service-related emails such as account confirmations, billing receipts, and product updates. We will not send unsolicited marketing without your consent.
• Security: To detect fraud, prevent unauthorized access, and maintain the integrity of user accounts.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting). These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information to comply with legal obligations.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change.

All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. When you enter payment information, that data is transmitted directly to Stripe using encrypted connections. We receive only limited payment confirmation data (e.g., last four digits of card, expiration month/year, billing name).

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for up to 90 days to allow for account reactivation, after which it is deleted from active systems. Aggregated, anonymized performance data may be retained for research purposes indefinitely.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information in your account.
• Request Deletion of your personal data. To request deletion, email us at team@advancedlearning.academy with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will process your request within 30 days.
• Opt Out of non-essential communications by following the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

BrainSharp 50+ uses the following types of cookies and browser storage:

• Session Cookies: Required to maintain your logged-in state. These are deleted when you close your browser or log out.
• Preference Cookies: Store user interface settings (e.g., font size, accessibility preferences). Persist across sessions.
• Analytics (Aggregate Only): We may collect anonymized, aggregate usage statistics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from logging in or using core features of the Service.

BrainSharp 50+ is designed for adults aged 50 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit, hashed password storage, and access controls limiting employee access to personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
